I combine professional yacht-racing experience with technical project and operations management.
At 5 West / Alex Thomson Racing, I coordinated refits, suppliers, contractors, budgets, procurement and logistics across IMOCA and Gunboat programmes, working towards fixed launch, training and race deadlines.
My background gives me both a practical understanding of yachts and the organisational experience required to keep complex marine projects moving.

Delivered to Launch Deadline
IMOCA Refit
Created and monitored refit budgets and managed procurement and logistics across a major IMOCA refit, helping ensure the yacht launched on schedule.
Replacement Part Delivered Within 24 Hours
Transatlantic Technical Support
When an alternator failed during a transatlantic delivery, sourced and purchased the replacement and flew out to meet the yacht. The boat was repaired and underway again within six hours of arriving.
IMOCA & Gunboat Programmes
High-Performance Yacht Operations
Coordinated technical operations, suppliers, contractors, equipment and international logistics across high-performance sailing programmes with annual budgets of approximately £2-4 million.
Background
My career began in yacht racing, where technical preparation, reliability and attention to detail directly affected performance.
After several years working professionally on the water, I moved into project and operational roles before returning to high-performance sailing with 5 West / Alex Thomson Racing.
Today, I work within the South Coast marine industry and specialise in bringing together technical requirements, people, suppliers, budgets and logistics to deliver demanding yacht projects.
